At the core of what drives and motivates the work that I do, are the people who interact with it.
While I was working in film/video production, I was always asking myself, “What will the viewer think when they see this? How will it make them feel? What will they take away from watching this?”
When I entered the field of learning and development, that focus on the learner’s experience became my primary focus. "How does a learner engage with these materials? How do we ensure the learner feels connected to and understands the relevance of this training? How can this training leave the learner feeling empowered and equipped?"
My people focused outlook has been a part of everything I have ever done, and it’s what allows me to maintain forward momentum on the projects I work on.
I received my Masters of Science in Learning Design and Technology at the University of South Florida, with a certificate in E-Learning. I completed my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film Production from the University of Central Florida.
Outside of my pursuits at work, my passion for growing food and teaching others led me to start a non-profit that was focused on reaching those in food insecure areas of Orlando. Working with individuals in those neighborhoods to grow food right in the middle of the urban core.
